ACADEMICS / HIGH SCHOOL

I am a focused and advanced student. I take my studies very seriously. I am homeschooled by two dedicated parents who both have graduate degrees from Oxford University. My Homeschool Umbrella and NCAA-approved transcripts are administered through Homelife Academy. My twin brother RHP Byron and I’s curriculum is designed and directed by my mother, Dr. Carolyn Weber who is a literature professor and has a Doctorate from Oxford University. I utilize a range of pedagogical platforms and tools including the following:

  • In-Person External Tutorials for Math and Science
  • Small Group Humanities Tutorials at Home, primarily taught by my Ph.D Mom
  • Online Course Curriculum through Compass Classroom and other channels
  • Supervised / Assigned self-study
  • Additional Modules / Topics with my Dad
  • ACT Prep: through practice tests and starting an online course, I have already begun ACT prep
  • Dual Enrollment College Credits
    • In fall 2025, as a Junior, I will be taking In-Person Dual Enrollment courses through New College Franklin and online college credits through other platforms
  • Goal: I will arrive on a campus in the fall of 2027 with multiple college credits on my transcript.

PHYSICALITY

I have been all-in for a long time, preparing my body for the rigors of the game and the Catching position at the highest level. And I embrace the “lonely work.” Thanks in part to the efficiency of home schooling, I have been able to allocate significant time and energy to this pursuit.

Strength: I have been lifting weights multiple times per week since I was 13 years old.

Endurance: I have lived and played baseball in Tennessee since 2021. I have never missed a single game for injury or illness. I have unusual stamina, muscle endurance and durability. For example, last summer on Sunday July 30, 2023 representing Tennessee against other states at the PBR Junior Future games in Atlanta, I was able to catch all 3 games on the final day, because my team needed me to. I also batted .500 and hit a home that day as well. (video here).

Stretching: I have stretched almost every night since age 12, in preparation for this position and playing at the highest level. I have done this ever since Adley Rutschman told my cousin Wilson Weber (@BeaverBaseball 2021-2025, CapeCod MVP-2024 and Catcher at OSU in 2025) that yoga and stretching are keys to catching. Flexibility is crucial for catchers, especially if you’re big.
